Why would I choose alpaca fleece over wool? Alpaca fleece is warmer and lighter than wool yet stronger and more durable.
This is due to the length and fineness of the alpaca fibre; and with its hollow insulating core, alpaca is warmer than wool. Alpaca
fleece grows naturally in many shades, from white to black and varying shades of grays and browns. Another important advantage
is if you have an allergy to wool or find wool to be prickly or itchy, then switching to garments made from the warm, luxurious alpaca
fleece is the solution as the fine fibres are silky smooth and without the prickle factor.

Made with 70% alpaca lopi yarn and 30% Dorset 6 ply wool. These attractive blankets are hand woven, thick and durable.
They make an excellent Saddle Blanket when folded in half; the natural wicking property of alpaca fibre helps to keep
your horse dry and comfortable. Also thick and durable enough to use as an attractive rug.
